The popular Albany Christmas Festival and Pageant returns to York Street, Albany, on Saturday 7th December, 2013, between 4.00pm and 8.00pm.



This much anticipated family event is proudly organised by the City of Albany and is the largest, free, event in the community. The festival regularly draws large crowds and this year will be no exception.

The Albany Christmas Festival is a fantastic way to start the festive season, and is jam-packed with fun, free activities and entertainment for all ages. There will be plenty of fun with children's activity zones, roving entertainment, market style stalls, gourmet food markets, workshops, Christmas gift markets, buskers, roving carolers and of course the fabulous Christmas Pageant.

The annual Christmas Pageant is a family favourite and a real highlight of the event. The parade starts at 6.30pm followed by the illumination of the beautiful Christmas Lights. The Albany streets come alive with music, movement and colour as the lovingly decorated floats make their way along, finishing up with the much awaited arrival of Santa Claus.

The Albany Christmas Festival and Pageant is a popular community event and everyone is welcome to attend.
