Making a welcome return visit to Adelaide this week will be Alasdair Fraser and Natalie Haas, considered to be among the world's best fiddle and cello exponents.
Fraser, a Scot, is internationally known for his fiddle compositions as well as his very fine traditional playing. Natalie Haas is Montreal based and she met Alasdair at the age of 11, when she discovered Celtic music at his Valley of the Moon Scottish Fiddling School in California. Since then, they have combined to produce some of the most exciting music in the Celtic tradition.
The duo will be making several appearances, the first at the Cheese Factory Studio Gallery in Meadows on Thursday 19 March at 7pm, followed by a 7.30 session at the Church of the Trinity on Goodwood Road at Clarence Park on Friday 20th. They will then present a workshop at the Fullarton Community Centre on Saturday morning at 10 am, to be followed by a quick trip to Auburn in the Clare Valley for an appearance at the Courthouse Cultural Centre on Saturday evening.
Tickets available from Dramatix, info: 0433 413 996 for Adelaide gigs, ph. 08 849 2420 for Auburn enquiries.
