Aladdin - The Musical is an award-winning live show, which soars into Melbourne after a successful opening season in Sydney. This musical version of Aladdin first opened as a live stage show in Seattle's 5th Avenue Theatre back in 2011. Since then, Aladdin - The Musical has performed in several regional and international cities, including Hamburg, London, Tokyo, Toronto, and New York where it was nominated for five Tony Awards in 2014.
The much-loved tale of Aladdin, enjoyed by many, is based on the 1992 Disney animated film of the same name, following the story of a poor young boy who discovers a genie in a lamp, who grants him three wishes. The young boy, Aladdin, uses his wishes to marry the princess that he loves, and to thwart the Sultan's evil Grand Vizier.
