The Aim for Fun (Archery) program at the Sydney Olympic Park Archery Centre is a fun way to spend time with the family on a weekend. It can also lead to a more regular visit to pursue the sport. For $25 inclusive of the basics of archery with all equipment provided, the one-and-a-half-hour program will see you learn the necessary skills to shoot a bow and arrow under the supervision of skilled instructors throughout the session in a fun and social atmosphere.
The Archery Centre at the Sydney Olympic Park has world-class archery facilities for beginners and competitive archers.
The Aim for Fun program is available for anyone aged 10 years or above, but the Archery Centre has programs for younger children too. Session times are 10am–11.30am, 2pm–3.30pm and 4pm–5.30pm (summer only). For more details, visit the Sydney Olympic Park Archery Centre website at https://www.archerycentre.com.au or call 02 9714 7502 for queries or to book.
At the end of your first session, your arms and fingers may get sore. Fair warning, but the experience has kept many an amateur to come back for more.
