Hailing from the big smoke of Melbourne in our rival state of Victoria, Jones charms audiences with his bogan Aussie accent and "no worries" attitude to deliver anecdotal gags that are relatable yet amusable.
Upon arrival, Jones greets guests by handing them a playing card chosen at random. Throughout the 50-minute performance, Jones transports audiences back in time to 2012, the year he kept a diary on a deck of 52 playing cards, one for each week of the year.
By choosing audience members at random or allowing brave individuals to volunteer their cards, Jones allows the audience to witness his tumultuous year unfold in a series of dates, memories and events – all of which are read out of order yet are connected across three continents by an intricate web of mates, girlfriends and secondhand embarrassment-inducing experiences.
Aidan 'Taco' Jones will be delivering laughs in 52 Days every night at 9pm until Friday 1 in The Ferguson Room at the National Wine Centre, so be sure to snap up tickets before it's too late!
