Aid for the Blind is a legacy created by Gordon and Reverend Elsie Dodd 45 years ago. It aims to provide support and advocacy for people with low vision.

And, it provides the community with seven hot shopping destinations around Brisbane. All profits raising much needed funds to support their accommodation program and computer club.

Yes, thats right. Shopping with a cause.

My local Annerley store is a great place to wander through whenever you have the time. With friendly staff, and clean, organised premisses you'll be amazed what you may find.

The prices are very reasonable. And everything is sorted into sections - which are clearly marked.

If you are lucky, they might be having one of their many sales. Yes Op Shops have sales too. Today I saw they had half price handbags.

I have been known to pick up a costume or two for the kids here before. They have sections for vintage, retro, costumes - and at the moment they have some near Halloween ideas.

They sometimes have furniture (but you have to get in quickly), they currently have a bridal section (yes they do), and home wares - again all labeled for your convenience.

They staff are friendly, and, it's air conditioned!

Guilt Free Shopping. Have fun!

Want to help?

If you want to do more than just shop to help our you can donate your time , clear out your unwanted wares and donate them to one of their stores. Or make a financial contribution (over $2 are tax deductible).
