Well, it appears that this place is particularly popular on Saturday nights - the outside dining section was 'packed' at 5.30pm. You will need to get her early if you wish to sit in the 'outside' area.
Six of us dined here recently and the experience left us 'wanting for more'. Okay, so what did we have that was so good?
Here are just two 'taste teasers' from the menu that we ordered;
Pilis Sehrezat; grilled chicken charcoal with with potato, rice pliav and beetroot and creamy mushroom sauce and Vegetarian Guvec; traditional slow cooked Turkish stew, cooked in their stone oven with eggplant, zucchini, mushroom, carrot, tomato and spices, with rice pilav.
Banquets are available for minimum four people and lunch specials are available from $15.

Ahmet's is also located at Southbank, however check out the menus; there are some differences in what they offer, even for the same dish (including slight price differences). While I have also dined at Ahmet's in Southbank, I wasn't quite as impressed as I was here at Bulimba and I had the same dish at both.
I was advised that there has recently been a 'new' Chef at Bulimba. Ahmet's also advertise Belly Dancing every Friday and Saturday nights, however check with the restaurant for further details. More information is available via their website.
