On the weekend of February 21-23, 2025, on the popular Discovery Coast just north of Bundaberg, Queensland, is the Agnes Blues, Roots & Rock Festival - which is held annually across one weekend in February in Agnes Water and 1770. The Festival is taking place at the 1770 SES Grounds, which is on Captain Cook Drive and is also home to the popular local markets (this link contains excellent directions to the SES grounds at the time of writing). The event's location is beautifully suited to the style of music played and there is less than ten percent of tickets remaining. To buy tickets and for information about the acts, navigate to agnesbluesandroots.com.au/tickets .In Agnes Water and 1770, I've never seen such an ideal location for a blues festival, where the picturesque beach and naturally laid-back, safe, quirky location makes such an ideal escape from the city as well as a communal party and festival venue. Do note the festival itself is not on the beach, but surrounded by woodland near the large Round Hill Creek less than two kilometres from the surf beach and almost directly across the road from Captain Cook Holiday Village .

The Agnes Blues, Roots & Rock Festival is also a precursor to the popular 1770 Festival .
