Trailblazers unite! Agents of Discovery - Bushland Mission is an outdoor school holiday adventure for children aged between 4 and 12 - a fun educational outing that the whole family can enjoy doing together. This digital game will use GPS technology to unlock your very own self-guided bushland mission at the Maroochy Regional Bushland Botanic Gardens in Tanawha.
Participate in the wonders and mystery of creation!
For those of you who might be like me and ever so technologically challenged when it comes to App 'speak', this explanation from Apple Store Preview puts it perfectly into perspective … I think!
'Agents of Discovery is an augmented reality, geo-triggered app that gets you outside, active and engaged in the world around you. With Agents of Discovery, you become a top-secret Agent, dedicated to solving the greatest mysteries of science, culture, technology and nature. Download the app and the Mission you want to play BEFORE heading out. The app does not require any data or WiFi to run, once it's been downloaded.'
Pack a picnic for a magical day of reconnecting with nature
During the upcoming school holidays from Saturday 19 September to Monday 5 October, pack a picnic and picnic rug and head off to the spectacular Maroochy Regional Bushland Botanic Gardens, for a magical day of reconnecting with nature, in gardens that showcase a diversity of both natural and creative wonders.
Kids will love taking a walk on the wild side with an educational adventure of discovery.
Please maintain social distancing. Luckily the Maroochy Regional Bushland Botanic Gardens boast an impressive eighty-two hectares and because the Bushland Discovery 2.0 can be done anytime between 7.00am and 5.00pm in the evening, this rule will be much easier to follow.
If you absolutely love the augmented reality apps - like I do - why not venture off to meet the Gruffalo and his friends, who are presently visiting The Ginger Factory. September school holidays look like they are going to be super-duper busy with a lot of sherlock-holms-ing going on!
