Gorgeous organic dining full of love and fresh produce
Organic is the buzz word these days. Agape in Botany epitomises everything organic and their philosophy is all about providing organic meals at affordable prices. Breaking the stigma that organic means expensive. They really do embrace their ethos as their menu is very affordable.
So what is organic? Freshly produced without toxins and pesticides or ill treatment of the animals. Clean and wholesome flavours with produce that is good for you and the ideal in promoting good health and well being. You will find lots of grains, ancient quinoa, wholemeal, spelt, amaranth and even organic wine.
I had to try the halloumi wrapped in vine leaves dressed with beetroot, rocket and olives as an entree. But I couldn't decide between the halloumi or the potato, leek and cheddar croquettes so I had both and was not disappointed. The flavours melted in my mouth and all my troubles went away. This is dining.
Organic Spelt Pizza
For my main it was definitely the spelt pizza with pumpkin, feta and pesto. Divine! Large and luscious. I wanted more. Soft base topped with plenty of goodness. I was feeling very full but I couldn't resist their dessert but which one to choose? They all sounded so good. So it was the apple cake and cinnamon ice cream and the blackberry and chocolate tart which were the winners. And they truly were. Amazing. The base of the chocolate tart just crumbled beautifully and the cinnamon ice cream married with the apple cake was perfection.
I have just found my new favourite restaurant in Sydney. Agape means love in Greek and I am so in love with Agape.
