Crafts and items made with love, great skill and soul
Across the road from popular Queen Victoria Markets, on Therry Street, lies an airy shop, with exposed brick walls, concrete floors and lots of natural light. It is known as After Store.

After Store stocks an ever evolving range of products, from Australia and the world. What makes them unique is the care, passion, thought and detail which goes into absolutely everything they sell. The quality is visible on their shelves.

Shopping at After Store is an absolute pleasure, from the atmosphere and space itself, to their graceful displays and the balance created amongst all items. This is the perfect spot if you are searching for a unique gift, buying for the person who already has everything, or to simply treating yourself with a gorgeous item.

The shelves are elegantly lined with a range of beeswax candles of all shapes and sizes, felt stuffed fruits and vegetables for kids to play or decorations, straw baskets, Mexican items, hand made bags and totes, ceramics and many other precious knick-knacks to give your home a boost of personality.

After Store also stocks Melbourne's popular Rooftop Honey, a project run by urban beekeepers in order to maintain the bee population in the city, and to educate the public on how important these little buzzing creatures are! You can buy some of their products and sample tubes of honey. Now that is a sweet gift, for both your loved one and the environment.

Head to After Store, support local businesses and small family cooperatives around the world, give a meaningful gift and decorate your home with little stories from the globe.

Definitely worth a look, they seem to have a large range of interesting things. Particularly good to hear of the Rooftop Honey projeect. I have read a lot lately about the alarming decline of bees.
