On 22 September 2019, the Queen Victoria Market will host the African Festival. This festival will be a wonderful way to celebrate the food, culture and tradition of Africa. This annual community festival is aimed at celebrating all things African and offers festival-goers a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the African community. Foodie Festivals Melbourne and Foodie Trails will organise this event.

The impressive programme lineup includes live music and dance performances. The beat of the drum will sway your mind and soul. The awe-inspiring African music and dance performances will appeal to the music-lover in you.

There will be a wide array of shops selling all types of merchandise and food. A number of vendors will be selling delicious food and drinks to sate your hunger and thirst. Your nostrils and tastebuds will be tantalised by the aroma of exotic African fare. Kids will be enthralled by a range of fun activities.

Queen Victoria Market is located on Queen Street, Melbourne CBD and is situated only a stone's throw away from Flagstaff railway station. Tram routes 19, 57, 58 or 59 stop right outside the Market.
