Highlighting Melbourne's African community, bring family and friends to revel in all the Festival has to offer. It wouldn't be African without the beat of the drums and the marketplace bustling with vendors serving flavours from all over Africa. Hosting the event is Dorcas Maphakela, recipient of the 2017 Multicultural Awards for Excellence by the Victorian Multicultural Commission in one of her various roles that promote the African community.

African Fest favourite of French and African heritage and 11 years experience under its belt, Geelong Salsa Reggaeton will also be there. All female team Burn-city Queenz will be burning up the dance floors with killer dance routines, high energy freestyles and dancehall rhythms. Just a taste of what's to come, keep an eye on the event page as updates come to hand.

So far the foodies team for the Festival includes Tasty Suya - African BBQ, ANGIES KITCHEN, Tastes of Senegal, Sabas Ethiopian Restaurant and The Real Jerk Food Truck. Your taste buds are in for a treat. Follow the beat of the drum, sway to the music and enjoy the flavours at this cultural immersion as a community.
