Africa Day is the day of celebration for African culture in Brisbane. Hosted at the lovely grounds of African House in Morningside, this is the perfect opportunity to experience the sights, sounds, tastes and colours of Africa right here in Brisbane.

Running all day from 10 am to 5 pm, this free festival is now in its 5th year. Last year 7000 people attended and had a fantastic time.

The festival will feature a range of African food from across the vast continent, have stalls of African products, crafts and arts, as well as traditional and contemporary music and dance from Africa. There will also be a fashion parade of African fashions. So don't feel shy about getting out your best Kanga, Boubou, Kaftan, or Dashiki for the day. Though casual dress is of course acceptable for a festival on the lawns.

Not only is this is an opportunity for the African community to come together and celebrate, it is an a chance for everyone in Brisbane to celebrate Africa's contribution to our rich multicultural landscape.
