Matt Coulter, the Curator of Plant Propagation at Botanic Gardens of South Australia will be conducting a hands-on Masterclass on Advanced Plant Propagation on Sunday 11 August 2019 from 9.45am – 3pm at Mount Lofty Botanic Garden Nursery. Matt is best known for his propagation of Amorphophallus titanium, which is also known as corpse flower, or corpse plant due to its odour. An additional session will be held on Thursday 29 August 2019 at the same place and time for those who can't make it to the earlier class.
If you have enjoyed the Plant Propagation Masterclass and would like to learn more plant propagation techniques, this is the course for you. However, attendance at the Plant Propagation course is not a pre-requisite. This Masterclass includes a tour of the nursery and covers propagation of plants from leaf cutting, root cutting, grafting and budding. Participants must wear closed shoes and bring their own sharpened secateurs and gloves as the class will involve practical activities.
