At the Caboolture Historical Village, there have been inquiries about an Advanced Cheesemaking Class following the success of the recent classes of Beginners Cheesemaking.

Why make your own cheese? Information is that it is a are skill, as most people think it is too hard to do and take the easy way of buying their cheese at the supermarket.

People who make their own cheese can find themselves very popular when they produce their product for friends and family. When you make your own cheese, you know what is in the cheese – as commercial cheeses may contain artificial colours or additives.

Making your own cheese is really easy. Attend a class and learn how easy it can be. It is an inexpensive hobby too, as for the most part you do not need any fancy implements, only some basic inexpensive tools to help you get started. As well, it is a fun activity with your children. They love being able to create cheeses and the skill will be valuable for them in the future.
In any case it is fun, and healthy.

There are many folk who are now making their own cheese at home.

The first Advanced Cheesemaking class will be held on Wednesday September 2nd, at the Caboolture Historical Village at 10 am. During the class, you will learn how to make ricotta, butter, Greek yoghurt and halloumi. All in the class will also get to taste the items produced in class. The cost of the class is $40.

Teacher, Carla, will bring items from the Mad Millie range, for those in the class who wish to purchase special kits to assist them at home. It is not necessary to purchase these items, but they will be available for you to consider.

Bookings are essential. Book online here , or visit the Village to book and pay, or phone 5495 4581 to book and arrange payment. Bookings and payment must be made by August 30th.

Class will be held in the function room, behind the historic pub, at the Caboolture Historical Village, 280 Beerburrum Road, Caboolture on Wednesday September 2nd.
