Ballet will teach you much more than how to dance
From time to time we all get stuck in a routine. Health professionals and those close to you will suggest you get out of your comfort zone a little and try something different, learn something new or simply start doing something you had a passion for when you were a child. If any of this sound familiar to you and you also want the benefit of becoming healthier and a little fitter, then perhaps it is time you took some dancing lessons.
Ballet lessons are usually targeted for small children. A lot of dance schools and studios only offer lessons for kids under 10, so where does that leave the rest of us grown ups who want to learn to dance? Luckily in Adelaide we have "Move Through Life", a studio dedicated to adult lessons only.
Move Through Life offers introductory courses to get you started or to refresh your memory, ballet courses go for a few weeks and classes run in the evenings. You will be taking the class side by side other beginners who want to give it a go, so there is no need to be intimidated or feel out of place.
Although the class only runs for one hour per week you can choose to take more lessons or practice at home. What is certain is the fact that you will become more in tune with your body, posture and the way you shift your weight during daily activities. Your routine will be broken into more gracious, gentle moments and you will simply start moving through life.
