After driving past this "corner shop" for weeks, I finally had time to call in. WOW. I thought it was a cafe, but it actually sells clothes, homewares and gifts. The cafe is just a side line, but what a delightful side line it is.





Situated on the corner of Oxley Rd and Harte St the shop itself has been there on Oxley Rd for ever! In the 60s it was a Butcher Shop owned by a butcher named Len - hence the name Len's Corner which has been lovingly kept. The shop has seen many incarnations over the years including a real estate agency, a computer shop and a music store.

It sits alone on a corner opposite Milperra High School and has off street parking, although at midday there was plenty of parking on the street. The staff were friendly, welcoming and very helpful without being pushy.





The shop is a bright colourful fiesta of clothes, scarves, toys, candles and much much more. I bought some adorable felt finger puppets made in Tibet. I was tempted by some magnificent felt shoulder bags and several light bright summery tops which were quite reasonably priced at $79.95.





I ordered a Mocha and raspberry and yoghurt cake which was delicious. All the tables and chairs are mismatched and quirky, but each one had fresh flowers and was very clean.



The atmosphere is relaxing in spite of being on a busy road. The outlook across the wide footpath is two huge old trees. Surprisingly peaceful.

I'll be taking all my friends there for a browse and a relaxing snack.



Adrift has two other stores however neither of those has a cafe.
