Incredible Australian artist stuns audience
Adrian Eagle lit up the stage at the Northcote Social Club on a cool Sunday night, warming the hearts of everyone in the room for the Melbourne leg of his MAMA EP tour.
Adrian Eagle's debut EP, MAMA pays homage to all the women in his life that have supported him, especially his mum who raised him as a single mother. The EP consists of 6 tracks that showcase his story so far, including break-out single "17 Again" and "A.O.K", a current radio favourite. Adrian has already found great success in his music, collaborating with Hilltop Hoods on their 2018 Aria award-winning single "Clark Griswold", joining them on their worldwide tour and more recently pairing up with fellow Aussie, Tones 'n' I on her national tour.
Originally scheduled for the 31st of January, the Melbourne leg of the tour was moved to the 8th of March due to a power outage. Devastated that he had may have caused any inconvenience to his fans, Adrian delivered 10 fold.
Melbourne local, P-Unique set out to warm up the crowd with her powerful hip-hop tunes. Speaking on the struggles and diversity she has faced in her life, her music provides a beat that is sure to have you moving whilst keeping true to its underground roots.
Adrian and his band lit up the stage, kicking the night off with their cover of Ocean Alley's 'Confidence' made popular on Triple J's Like a Version.
The sold-out Northcote Social crowd packed the band room and got grooving to the unique street-gospel sound that filled the room. An amazing surprise addition to the show was his cover of 'Valerie' dedicated to Amy Winehouse for International Women's Day.
A.Eagle is not only an artist and performer but he is a true storyteller. The passion and emotion spoken throughout all the tracks bring the listener a true insight into his world.
The aptly named track "Housing Trust" describes his roots in Adelaide and had the audience captured. You can truly see how much emotion and love he puts into every song, as he shed a tear introducing 'Unconditional Love', a song dedicated to his goddaughter, Nalia.
Ensuring not to disappoint, the show was closed with the two most popular of his songs; '17 Again' the song that first set Adrian into the music scene, being the first of his tracks to get played on the radio and finally 'A.O'K' which he belted out with the help of everyone in the audience.
In his amazingly humble manner, Adrian rounded the night off by ensuring to meet and greet any attendees who wanted to have a chat and grab a picture after the show.
Adrian Eagle has one remaining show on the MAMA EP Tour (Sunday 12 Apr '20 – Mojo's Bar, North Fremantle, WA) before taking a well deserved 3-month break to work on his music. I'm sure I wouldn't be alone in saying how ecstatic I am to hear what he produces next. There are big things to come and with the dedication and passion he puts into his craft, this is only the beginning for A.Eagle.
