It is a unfortunate fact that 50% of dogs do not make the grade as guide dogs. This statistic could now very well be the opportunity for you to help out your community and invite a cute and cuddly best friend to your family.
Guide Dog Queensland is looking for permanent homes for the puppies that did not make it. There are a few requirements to become the new parent of a pup.
You must work part time or less
Have a secure yard
Any children in your home to be school age or above
Plenty of time during the day to spend with you new best friend.
Adopting a guide dog puppy not only brings a new family member into the home who will love you unconditionally, you will also be supporting your local guide dog organisation. To learn more about Guide Dogs Queensland and how to you can help by donating click here.
If you are able to provide a loving, safe home for one of the many puppies who do not have a career of guide dog stardom ahead of them, visit the Guide Dog QLD website. You will be thanked with lots of sloppy kisses.
