Remember those simple playgrounds you actually got to enjoy when you were a kid? A swing set, some sand, a slide perhaps? Well the good old days are back and you can share those memories with your kids now at the in Maroochydore.
Located just by Picnic Point and the
Maroochy River , is a no thrills playground with enough room for the kids to burn off some energy, and space for mum or dad to sit back and relax.
The park is fully fenced and beautifully shaded. There are many luscious, tall trees here providing more than ample cover over the playground areas, grassed areas as well as tables and chairs.
The playground area has the bare basics but still plenty to do for a hyperactive child to burn off some energy. They've got a swing set, see-saw, a slide and some other playground equipment to run, jump and bounce on.
There are also a couple of benches and park tables around if you want to really make a day of with a full-fledged picnic. A corner store is just down the road so if you forget anything, you know you can grab it close by. The best spot in the park would have to be the cluster of shady trees in the northern corner.
Being in such a busy area the park may get a bit noisy with cars travelling past on Duporth Ave, but don't let that put that off. really is a throw back to the parks of yesteryear - simple, shady yet still worth a barrel of laughs. Bring the kids and enjoy a day at the park exactly the same way you used to.
