Personal assistants, secretaries, receptionists, plus other admin support staff - from the oval office, to inner city firms. Where'd we be without their magic touch and stable hand? That warm greeting, attentiveness, scintillating sparkle, immeasurable knowhow - not only unsung office heroes, but that reassuring smile when we need it most. Toiling behind the scenes, steadfastly keeping the wheels turning, as that newly-appointed boss hogs the limelight.
Once referred to as 'Secretaries Day', and now the more appropriate 'Administrative Professionals Day', that time of the year. Formal opportunity to remind them of our ongoing appreciation. Celebrated 28th April in the United States, first Friday of May that marks our own day of tribute. Initiated in 1952, Administrative Professionals Day is the time to celebrate these tireless souls, functioning in otherwise thankless roles.
Whilst various venues are commemorating this annual occasion, not many, if any, doing so in such style. World Restaurant and Bar aren't only located along picturesque Southbank, but tranquil enough to distract from the office chaos. So ditch your mobile (hey, that includes your iPhone), put the pen away, and head in for some well-earned tender loving food.
