A newly opened four-star apartment hotel in the Western Sydney area. Adina Apartment Hotel Norwest has been open for around 12 weeks now, as at the time of writing this. The quality of the rooms is just impeccable, as well as the decor. I was fortunate to have recently stayed in one of the hotel's 106 rooms within the Norwest Business Centre complex at Baulkham Hills.
The fantastic chaise lounge in the room I stayed at.
The hotel provides fantastic facilities for both business and leisure travellers to the area alike. You can be a local living within Sydney, or even an interstate or international visitor. Regardless as to who you are or where you come from, it is easy to feel right at home here. It is beautiful to be sleeping and enjoying your time in somewhere new. As soon as you enter your room, that pleasant new smell grabs your senses, and then sooner or later you get used to that new smell. I ended up staying in room 435, the first of three floors in a spacious studio apartment with a cute little balcony. A trendy ceramic like table awaits with a comfortable chair. Sip on a quality glass of red at night while on the balcony, and you will feel really content in this place. The weather is still quite warm, and way out west during daylight savings in New South Wales, it takes longer to get darker at night than it does in the city. Fresh country air and no city smog is enjoyed here.

The decor and ambience is just stunning. Tasteful furniture is enjoyed in the hotel's lobby area as well as in the rooms. The artworks in the hallway on the floor where my room was, as well as inside the room I stayed at were colourful and contemporary.
Fantastic facilities and service all round. The checking in and checking out process was seamless. A slower paced ambience is enjoyed at this hotel and in this area. This area is fast becoming a hot business hub in Sydney, and Adina Apartment Hotel Norwest is the perfect place to escape the city for a couple of days. You're only a 45-minute drive from the city via the M2, and there is ample undercover guest parking available. If you don't have a car, you can simply catch one of the Hillsbus T-Way services: the T62 or the T64 from Parramatta that will drop you off at Norwest Boulevard right near the Norwest Marketplace. Come and stay in this area for some peace and quiet, and you will enjoy the much slower version of fast paced Sydney, and you will sleep well at night too. Enjoying a comfortable king size bed with a comfortable blanket, in tandem with a spacious bathroom also helps.
At the time of checking into this hotel, the city was raining, while there was a heatwave (in comparison) in this area on this side of the world. Luckily the hotel has a fantastic air conditioning system in each of the rooms. Out of the 106 rooms at this hotel, and spread over three floors, 21 of these rooms are studio apartments, 80 are one bedroom apartments, three of the rooms are two bedroom apartments while the remaining two bedrooms are three bedroom apartments. Most of the apartments have balconies, while fully equipped kitchen and laundry facilities are enjoyed in all apartments except for the studio apartments. However in saying this, there is still a decent sized kitchen space in the studio apartments. Especially in the one I stayed at. It was also great to chill out on the chaise like lounge near the balcony.
The iPod docking station provided some great music, and was also a fantastic iPhone charging facility at the same time. Wi-Fi access is also available. It was great to also enjoy watching a couple of shows on Foxtel. Speaking of which, this hotel is the first hotel in the world to offer a facility called GuestView. Created by International Hotel Technologies, GuestView allows guests to wirelessly stream their own content from any technological device.
This can be done from a laptop computer, to iPhones and iPads to the TV screen in any of the rooms at this hotel. Guests at this hotel can now watch their own movies, TV shows and/or view presentations and photo slide shows on the big screen. Furthermore, GuestView delivers Australian digital television channels along with 25 international satellite television channels from China, India and around the globe. The system also incorporates media streaming abilities, allowing guests to watch and listen to a range of Internet content streams such as Al Jazerra, You Tube and over 4000 radio channels. All of my valuables were kept in the room safe.
The hotel's fitness centre is fantastic. There are a few treadmills to exercise from with decent space with a fantastic water bottle refill facility. This facility actually reminds you to ensure that you're drinking your required two-litres of water a day. The hotel has just received council approval to build a swimming pool facility that is expected to open in January 2013. In the meantime, if you wish to go swimming during your stay, you can always walk or drive a couple of blocks and enjoy the swimming pool at the Virgin Active Health Club at the Atlas Centre nearby.
The hotel's cafe is still under construction, as at the time of writing this. However guests are able to enjoy a full buffet breakfast in the hotel's conferencing room for $20 per person/day provided they book this upon checking in. The hot breakfast selection enables guests to enjoy some tasty scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon and hash browns. Full buffet breakfast guests can also enjoy some cereal and fruit salad. In terms of drinks, the apple juice was quite popular. Orange juice is also available. This room is spacious and comes with an abundance of natural light. The hotel also provides all guests with a list of great restaurants nearby, with a choice of five quality restaurants in nearby Century Circuit.
The welcome you receive from the staff is friendly and fantastic. The reception desk is manned 24 hours a day, and for those guests who are staying at this hotel on business, a shuttle bus is provided to transport guests in and around the Norwest Business Park and surrounds. A grocery service is also available, otherwise you can always buy your groceries across the road at Norwest Marketown. The elevators to access all rooms are sleek and shiny, with trendy floral like mirrors welcoming you as you're about to step off the elevator to head to your room.
For leisure travellers and for those who might be coming to the area to do a bit of study, the hotel is only a short stroll from Bella Vista Farm, and from the Hillsong Performing Arts Academy. The hotel is right near and is accessible to Castle Hill, Bella Vista, Westmead and Parramatta - Sydney's second CBD. It is amazing that Baulkham Hills is still within Sydney, yet you feel like you've just escaped to the countryside. Adina Apartment Hotel Norwest boasts excellent five-star facilities in greater Sydney that you would come to expect in the city, and with fantastic room rates. I highly recommend you choose this hotel for your next city escape without needing to leave Sydney, and/or if you need to do some business within the Norwest Business Park. Once you settle in as a guest at this hotel, it will be difficult to leave. You will leave feeling satisfied, rejuvenated and refreshed.
