Presented by Vitalstatistix, Adhocracy hosts some of the most exciting makers of Australian contemporary culture, art, performance and commentary in a creative hothouse over the first weekend in Spring.
Held from Friday 31 August to Sunday 2 September 2018 in the heritage-listed home, Waterside, and at Hart's Mill Flour Shed, a stone's throw away, this one of a kind festival supports the creative development of new experimental and multidisciplinary arts projects.
Over four jam-packed days, artists will be working in the open studios and for three evenings, the doors will be thrown open for all to join in the experimentation and exploration.
Come along and engage with the artists and their creative process through the public program of artist talks, workshops and work-in-progress showings.
Expect this year's festival to encompass performance, technological experimentations and participatory art. Artists will be playing with privilege and colonialism by engaging with settler monuments, multimedia-based explorations of Port Adelaide and a performer frantically trying to escape a stage. There will also be a talk show set in the future and even an opera about MacDonalds!
Entry is by donation and food and drink are available onsite.
