aden & #43 ; anais Muslin Baby Blankets

When pregnant with my first child, my Mother suggested buying muslin wraps for our new baby. My Mother's words proved to be sound advice, when I purchased a pack of muslin wraps and found that I used them every single day of baby #1 's newborn life.

It appears I am not alone in my love for muslin, when Reagan, the owner and founder of aden & #43 ; anais sought muslin wraps in New York when pregnant with her first child in 2003. Sadly, muslin wraps were as so easy to find in the United States as they were in Reagan's native Australia, and as such, she launched her own business in 2006 to sell muslin material baby goods and other products using natural fibres and organic material.

aden & #43 ; anais can now be found in thousands of stores across 63 countries around the world today, selling a range of bath and body baby products, nursery goods and homewears.

Fast forward six years and I have another baby to add to the mix. My baby #2 is now past the muslin wrap stage, however, aden & #43 ; anais sell more than just wraps made from muslin fibre, such as 100% cotton muslin and bamboo fibre muslin cot sheets, too.

Bamboo fibre is often thought of as an environmentally sound alternative to other man-made materials (such as polyester), and is a fabric choice that has been growing in popularity in recent years.

I own a few clothing pieces made using bamboo fibre, and have been happy with the feel, comfort and softness of the material, therefore chose the aden & #43 ; anais azure - bead bamboo cot sheet.

Priced at AUD $44.95, fitted cot sheets are rayon, made from bamboo fibre muslin. At first I thought our new cot sheet wouldn't fit the mattress we have, but it does; sheets fit up to 132 cm x 72 cm x 20 cm, and are tailored to ensure a snug fit with elastic.

aden & #43 ; anais advertise bamboo muslin cot sheets as luxuriously soft, and that is exactly what they are. The azure cot sheet is much softer than previous muslin fabric I am familiar with in cotton baby wraps, and thin enough to keep my little one cool and comfortable in otherwise hot summer nights.

From cot sheets to sleepwear including swaddles, sleeping bags, security blankets, muslin toys and more, check out aden & #43 ; anais full range of products available online here .
