Prepare yourself. The 2015 Adelaide Zombie Walk is looming and everywhere there will the people moaning "braaaaiiiiinnnnnsss" - all while having enormous fun and raising money for charity Foodbank.

The family friendly free event starts at 3pm with the walk itself starting at 7pm in Rymill Park in Adelaide on Saturday 10th October.

People of all ages meet in Rymill Park dressed as a zombie.

Pre-walk entertainment starts at 3pm. DJ ScottyB will be there to get everyone in the mood, there will be face painters, splatter tents, arts and craft stalls, food and drinks and lots lots more including free laser tag games for up to 24 players at a time.

At the stroke of 7pm, the walk starts and approximately 15,000 zombies shuffle their way through the city streets.

After the walk, Rymill Park is the place to be with live entertainment from Levitika

It's free to join in on the walk and it's suitable for all ages. A gold coin donation is requested by all those who attend. The zombies who wish to go in the running to win one of the "Best Dressed" prizes must purchase a wristband for $10 prior to the event.

All profits from the event go directly to FoodbankSA - a wonderful charity whose mission it is to end hunger.

The Adelaide Zombie Walk is a drug and alcohol free event, thanks to SAPOL and the Adelaide City Council who will be in attendance.

It's certainly one of the cheapest fun runs (fun strolls). Given the huge entry price of many other similar fundraising events I suggest FoodbankSA charge everyone for a participation wristband. They are cheap!

Zombies are popular even with little kids. I'm glad there is a separate family-friendly event at a family-friendly time.
