Sometimes it doesn't matter where you are, as long as you're with someone you love, but other times a romantic setting is the perfect icing on the cake. So we're on the hunt for Adelaide's most romantic spots; let us know which spots around town have captured your heart, and helped send you head over heels. We've got a few options, but we want to hear your stories.

One of the favourite spots is Windy Point Lookout. Head up just before sunset, and watch the sun disappear below the water. You'll then be able to see the city lights "flare up like candles in the dark" as Alex puts it in his review of the popular spot. If you don't feel like sitting outside, then you can also have a romantic dinner at the Windy Point Restaurant. Meals might not come cheap, but you'll get a sensational view.

The River Torrens has potential for being a very romantic spot. You can find a cosy spot along the river bank to set up a picnic or just lie together in the sun, or have some fun for two and get out into one of the paddle boats. There are a few downsides to a riverside tryst; stay away from the fountain if you're on the paddle boats, as it doesn't always have the nicest smell, and watch out for the sometimes too curious swans.

Instead, why not head to the Botanic Gardens, a popular spot for wandering hand in hand, or sitting by the stream. There are also plenty of other beautiful gardens in and around Adelaide, that make a nice date for two.

For something fancy, consider a candlelit dinner at Cos on Leigh Street. Since Leigh Street's closure as a thoroughfare the alfresco dining at Cos has expanded, and you can dine on delicious French cuisine on this quaint little street. Sometimes there's a small pop-up florist set up on the street, and buying a single red rose for your date has a distinctly Parisian feel.

Fill us in on your favourite romantic spots, whether it's watching the sunset over one of Adelaide's beautiful beaches, or a dimly-lit dessert bar rendezvous at the Elephant Walk Cafe. Which spots around town get your heart pumping that little bit faster?

The Adelaide Hills - lots of nice B&B, plenty of romantic dining options and Mt Lofty botanical gardens is absolutely gorgeous - I am sure you can steal a kiss in that garden.

A walk along the jetty at Brighton at sunset. Or Semaphore. Long jetties that are not overcrowded like Glenelg always seems to be.
