Where do you go in Adelaide when the sun goes down? Adelaide may not be known around the world as a party city, but that doesn't mean that people don't like to go out on the weekend to have a good time. So if you're someone who's stumbled home at 6 in the morning, after a night on the town, then let us know your top nightclub picks. Here are a few to think about, but we want your opinion on the best.

Apple Bar is stylish, cool, and since it opened in 2009 it quickly became a popular place to go. They have a range of regular DJs, and have even played host to popular British DJ Calvin Harris. Big nights at Apple are usually on a Thursday and Saturday, but consider popping in on your birthday, they have a pretty generous bar tab to help you celebrate your big night. Like many night clubs, on some nights you might end up spending longer in the queue than you do in the club.

It's often described as seedy, and its probably not the kind of place you want your little sister hanging out, but there is no denying that Red Square manages to draw a crowd. There's dance music in the front, and RnB out the back, and you're likely to spot some unique fashions. General recommendations seem to be avoid it, unless you're very, very drunk.

HQ is one of the few places in Adelaide that most people would have been at least once, even those who don't go out too often. They have DJs playing the latest hits, and an RnB room if you like something different, and on a Wednesday night the dance floor goes off with the hits of the 90s. It certainly isn't the place for everyone, and you get the feeling that quite a few people in the room would rather not be there, but usually you can have a good time. The smoking area out the back is, surprisingly, a good place to get some fresh air when it gets a bit stuffy inside.

One Love at Electric Circus

Are any of these your top picks? Of course there are plenty more. The line up outside Electric Circus shows that they're a pretty popular bunch, and Heaven Nightclub returned to Adelaide in 2010 to make its own dent on the scene.

We want to know all about your favourite place. Do you find yourself questioning whether half of the crowd are actually legal, or are you too busy dancing away till your feet are covered in blisters. Or, if you're on the other side of the fence and nightclubs just aren't your scene, join in the discussion and let us know which one you think is the worst.
