From the music playing Mr Whippy van, to the ice creameries that line Jetty Road, there is nothing quite like ice cream on a hot day. So we want to take a look at finding Adelaide's best. From gooey chocolate to creamy vanilla, everyone has a favourite flavour, just let us know where it's found. We've got a few great places in mind, but to find Adelaide's best we need your help.

Adelaide is getting quite a name for itself when it comes to dessert bars, and often on the menu you'll find an ice cream or two. Think interesting flavours like the wasabi ice cream found at Sugarbowl, or just delicious desserts topped with even better ice cream. Think places like Aviary Dessert Kitchen, Devour Dessert Bar, or the Elephant Walk Cafe. From banana spits to ice cream sundaes, there are definitely some good choices going around.

One ice creamery that shouldn't be missed is Royal Copenhagen. They have a dessert bar in Henley Beach, an ice creamery at Glenelg, and even a food cart that has been popping up around the city. Apart from great flavours, like their namesake the Royal Copenhagen, one of the reasons they should top the list is their self serve fudge. Indulge as much as you like, and slather your next double scoop with fudge, sprinkles, and anything else your tastebuds desire.

Of course there are the other ice creameries like Baskin & Robbins, or Andersen's of Denmark, or perhaps you're in love with the creative mixes at Cold Rock Ice Creamery. With locations by the beach, at the movies, or just in town, this is the best way to personalise your ice cream. Choose your flavour, and then choose a range of goodies to be smashed in and enjoyed. It's not the cheapest option, but it's definitely fun.

So are any of these your favourites? Or have you discovered somewhere else we really should know about? Give us your recommendations for where Adelaide's best ice cream can be found.

I am unsure if it fits into this category as it is gelati and not ice cream, but Gelato Bello in Glynde is my favourite. Coconut gelati is a must try!!
