Chinese is such a varied cuisine, different provinces throughout China all have different influences and flavours to their foods. Thankfully Australia has openly adopted Chinese cuisine, and there are plenty of great Chinese restaurants to choose from. Do you have a favourite Chinese restaurant in Adelaide?

Ying Chow is one of those 'hole in the wall' type places, and it's also probably Adelaide's worst kept secret. Everyone knows about Ying Chow, the small and somewhat dingy restaurant, with delicious food all for next to nothing. It's generally always busy here, crowds of people waiting outside for a table aren't uncommon, and the hectic chatter inside only enhances the warm and authentic atmosphere. The food is the real winner, it's cheap, it's tasty, and it's best shared.

Up the road T-Chow seems like the polar opposite. The Moonta Street restaurant is huge in comparison, with plenty of space for huge groups, or tables for two. One wall is covered with tanks, showing off the live options: abalone, lobster, or crab, among other things. They're also busy around brunch, when they open up for Yum Cha. There's great variety at T-Chow, and at least you can always be guaranteed to find a table.

Concubine is at the other end of the spectrum. It's a fine dining fusion restaurant that merges the local produce of Adelaide with the flavours of China. If you've got more than 10 people dining, their banquet menus are the way to go. The restaurant in classy and the food is both delicious and beautifully presented. It's not your usual Chinese experience, but it's nice for something different.

These three are just a small selection of the Chinese restaurants around Adelaide's China Town, but there are even more once you hit the suburbs. So let us know which one is your favourite, and why it deserves the top spot.

While your at it, let us know your favourite Chinese dish, just in case we're not hungry enough already.
