Finding a great brownie is always a good treat. One with a soft and gooey centre, and a nice crisp outer layer. They can be filled with white chocolate chips, raspberries, or walnuts, or they can be accented with a range of flavours. Brownies are a popular product of homestyle cooking, but if you're after a brownie fix there unfortunately isn't a 'brownie bar' to instantly sate your craving.

So instead we want to ask our readers to find Adelaide's best brownies. Inside cafe display cabinets, or freshly laid out at the morning market, wherever you've found a great brownie, tell us all about it.

If you start down South, you might be lucky to come across Fleurieu Lavender, who are at the Willunga Farmers Markets every Saturday. Obviously, they deal in lavender, so their brownies are infused with the pretty purple flower, which adds an interesting twist to this classically chocolate affair. You may as well indulge while you're down there and pick up some tea to enjoy with your treat, or some lavender to experiment with creating your own at home. The brownies are moist, with a very pleasant flavour.

For another brownie with a twist, why not try the vegan brownies at Bliss Organic Garden Cafe. If you're of the opinion that vegan food has to be dull and boring, you're obviously not munching on a vegan brownie (or anything else on Bliss' menu for that matter). It seems a bit amazing that they can take out any animal products, and still manage to produce a tasty brownie, but to all of us dairy loving skeptics, it is possible.

We also think that you can probably find a good brownie at one of Adelaide's many chocolate cafes. We certainly have plenty of them, from Cocolat, to Chocolate Tree, to Chocolate Bean. One of these places is Chocolate @ No. 5 in Hahndorf. Like much of their menu, their brownies are full of chocolatey goodness. You can enjoy the brownies with a nice hot chocolate, for the full chocoholic experience.

So have we mentioned your favourite brownies? Or do you know somewhere else in Adelaide that makes them the best? We want to hear all of your suggestions, so join the discussion in the comments.
