Concession and family tickets are also available. The zoo is open from 9:30 am to 5pm, every day of the year including Christmas day. For more information check the Adelaide Zoo website here.

With some careful planning visitors can catch several zookeeper presentations including Lion and hippo feedings, daily orangutan interactions, and other informative shows. The penguins are especially engaging, not to mention absolutely adorable, and can be seen at 2:45pm daily. I was lucky enough to get a special night time viewing of the Pandas last year. They were so funny and active, they completely won me over. I love visiting the zoo with my nieces.

I'm really glad that they have given Adelaide zoo a new look. The pandas have been such a huge attraction, and it's great that good old family activities like visiting the zoo are coming back.
