Be like a Zombie and join the free community event that is the Adelaide Zombie Walk on Saturday 13 October 2018 from 3-9pm at Rundle Park, Rundle Rd and East Terrace, Adelaide. The walk commences at 7pm and the best dressed competition (with great prizes over 3 categories, you need to buy a Foodbank Wristband to enter) at 5pm, so be sure to dress to impress! A Zombie walk may conjure up images other than being family friendly, but this IS a family friendly event and open to all ages. It's also an alcohol and drug-free event. Recently awarded Community Event of the Year in the 2018 Australia Day Awards, this is the place to be seen!
A 100% not-for-profit, charitable local community event, you'll find entertainment in spades with DJ Josh in the house! You're also covered for food and drink as there'll be a selection of market stalls to satiate your Zombie hunger. There's a bit of housekeeping to be mindful of, and you'll find more information, and the FAQs here. BANANAS is the SAFE WORD, so if someone says this to you, move on, as it means they are scared, so be mindful.
Buy your 2018 Foodbank SA wristband for only $10 from SAVERS AUSTRALIA Stores or at the 2018 event. As a wristband holder you may enter the Best Dressed Competitions and you also get the great perks and specials, available ONLY on the day/night of the event! How does 2 for the price of 1 Whopper or Grilled Chicken at Hungry Jacks or getting an extra 6" sub for free from Subway when you buy any six-inch sub and medium drink sound to you? And there's more!
An exciting update, if you arrive at the park between 3-5pm, head straight to Foodbank or the AZW info tent and make a $5 donation or purchase a $10 Foodbank SA wristband and you will be entered into an early bird competition where you could win a return ferry trip with SeaLink Kangaroo Island for 2 adults and 2 children (3-14 years) and a Standard Vehicle! This is an amazing prize and one not to be missed, thanks to SeaLink! Only 1 entry per person and for SA residents only. Selected travel dates apply.
If you're not quite sure about Zombie makeup, SFX artists and face painters will be on site to help you with your Zombie look, but keep in mind they are super busy and spaces are limited. Positions cannot be reserved prior to the event, so get in early. Not only is this a fun event, it's a charitable one. For updates and current conversations about the event, check their Facebook and Event page.
