Jolly Good Fun
Yikes, Santa has just had a good look at his calendar. It's not long till Christmas and he's been sitting around all year eating mince pies and drinking lots of milk and he's noticed that his waistline has grown a bit. He's struggling to get into the sleigh and, when it's airborne, the reindeers are huffing and puffing more than usual. Oh boy, he really needs to get fit!
He thinks, "Hey", I'll go for a run!" But, how can he do that without getting spotted? He's not normally seen running around the neighbourhood in his jogging outfit. The perfect solution is here - he can blend in with 1,000 other Santas at this year's Variety Santa Fun Run! Wow, perfect timing!
You too can join Santa on his run to get fit by rounding up all your mates and registering for the Variety Santa Fun Run. You'll be guaranteed to get well and truly into the Christmas spirit while helping Variety do what they do so very well.
In this fun run you don't even need to run - you can fun walk, fun stroll, fun hop or fun jump all the way around if you like. You could even fun walk backwards and say "Oh! Oh! Oh!". But, it's not about who finishes first, it's all about the fun! And it's about helping Variety help Australian children in need.
The 5th Annual Variety Santa Fun Run will be held on 1st December. It's a 4km course that starts and ends on the lawns of the Adelaide Convention Centre. The course takes you along the riverbank of the Torrens and crosses over on King William Street and again at the weir.
The Santa suit (one size fits all) is yours as a thank you for registering. You can personalise it to really stand out in the crowd.
You can find out about the important work Variety does for children as a national not-for-profit organisation on their website here. It's important to note that "With the funds raised from the Santa Fun Run, Variety will be able to provide hundreds of children with the specialised mobility equipment they urgently need. Give children greater freedom this Christmas – it is a wonderful and priceless gift!"
