Thunderbirds are go
Netball's 2013 ANZ Championship is about to kick off for another season. Fans of the Adelaide Thunderbirds will be able to make their way down to Netball SA Stadium and support the team in their first match against the Central Pulse, over from New Zealand.
The match up should be a competitive one as the Pulse are determined to claw their way out of the middle of the ladder. The Wellington-based side are looking strong with many current and former Silver Ferns, including defender Katrina Grant and pocket rocket mid-courter Liana Leota, as well as Australian import and former Melbourne Vixens player Caitlin Thwaites.
Many young T-Birds fans attending on Sunday will be coming to see the successful shooting combination of towering Jamaican shooter Carla Borrego and Erin Bell, energetic defender Sharni Layton and their experienced captain and centre player, Natalie von Bertouch.
Many good seats are still available to purchase over at the Thunderbirds website. Doors open at 12:30pm, where a lot of fun and games will be going on for kids and adults to enjoy, for a 1:40pm start to the game.
The ANZ Championship is going to open with a bang this weekend, and I suggest you be there.
