The Theatre Community of South Australia will be coming together for the Adelaide Theatre Bushfire Appeal Fundraiser on Saturday 1st February, 7:30pm at the Arts Theatre on Angas Street. The event has been created to raise and donate much-needed funds via the Australian Red Cross and Country Fire Service Foundation to assist with supporting the many South Australians who have been impacted by the bushfires over these past months.
The fundraiser event has been created to raise as much as possible for these two organisations. All ticket sales and online donations through the Adelaide Theatre Guide website will be going to the Australian Red Cross and further donations on the night through raffles and bar sales will be going to the Country Fire Service Foundation.
The Adelaide Theatre Guide is a 'not for profit' organisation that works to support all facets of theatre in South Australia, providing services for theatregoers (including listings of upcoming productions, and reviews of at least 90% of shows presented in Adelaide), theatrical companies, production teams and performers (including audition notices and classifieds), as well as travel agents in assisting tourists find shows to attend while in our city. The organisation also presents events in support of the South Australian theatre community, and supports all aspects of theatre, including the Adelaide Fringe, Adelaide Festival, and professional, community and amateur theatre events.
The event will be hosted by Mark Oates who is an Adelaide singer and regular host of Broadway Sessions and features many Adelaide performance artists along with raffle items on the night that include free memberships and tickets to local shows and performances throughout 2020.
For audiences, this event is family-friendly and will be a fantastic showcase of Adelaide theatre talent, with a variety of performers and acts presented along with further opportunities to donate to the cause on the night.
