Event:
new songs tell of old history
After 175 years, Adelaide has a huge wealth of social history to relate and the arts group HATS Inc (Heritage Arts and Traditions) has come up with a great way to share it, in a special musical celebration with local singers and songwriters.

On May 23rd at historic Ayers House, 13 SA performers will present 20 new songs written to explore the history of the city in song. Buildings, events, characters and pioneers will bring to life the story of Adelaide.

This special presentation will be narrated by local identity Carole Whitelock and features songwriters such as Steve Foster, Dave Greenslade, Keith Preston, Adrienne Lovelock and Paul Roberts, who have each taken their inspiration from our city's journey through time.

Award winning group Brillig will coordinate a house band with guest musicians and the choir of St Cuthberts will also perform the songs accompanied by historic images and dialogue.

The 2 performances (2.30 and 7.30 pm) will take the form of an Edwardian Cabaret and the audience are encouraged to dress appropriately. Snacks and drinks will be available.
