For an uplifting experience that is hard to beat get down to Adelaide Oval and take in the buzz of the 3rd Cricket Test, Australia v's New Zealand.

This historic test match is gaining much publicity due to it being the first test match as a day / night fixture and the fact that it has heralded the debut of the pink cricket ball, instead of the usual red test match ball.

Facilities at the redeveloped Adelaide Oval are exceptional making a day at the cricket, or any event for that matter, a breeze to attend. The magnificent architecture of the stadium itself is enough to enjoy but add the atmosphere of a raucous crowd and the late spring weather in Adelaide, complete with stunning sunsets and you will have a day and evening to remember.

The party atmosphere in the ground is infectious with crowds enjoying the spectacle with friends and strangers alike and there is a lot of pride on display for this icon of Adelaide and what it is bringing to Adelaide.

There is plenty of good food, drinks and coffee on offer which although a little pricey are fresh and tasty. You can bring your own food into the venue, but water and drink containers must be unopened or you will be asked to dispose of them.

Amenities are fantastic with someone finally creating enough toilets for women not to have to queue for, and they have provided plenty of mirrors as well. There is plenty of parking available in the parklands behind Adelaide Oval if you get in early before gates open or for an even easier option take public transport and enjoy the stroll along or over the River Torrens.

This is a great day out for the family with plenty of security and police on hand and any anti- social or unruly crowd behavior is dampened down very swiftly.

The fun of this event is one not to be missed, with tickets still available starting at $11.21 for general admission. Gates open at 11.30am with play commencing at 2.00pm and ending around 9.00pm.
