Asian cuisine lovers can enjoy their favourite foods for eleven nights at Adelaide Night Noodle Markets from 24 September to 4 October 2015. This event is organised in association with
OzAsia Festival for foodies to experience Asian cuisine in a fun festival atmosphere, with food stalls set up at Adelaide Festival Centre Precinct in an Asian hawker-style market format.
Participants in this event include stalls serving up Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Singaporean and Malaysian cuisines. Enjoy the char-grilled flavour of a few sticks of Satay, a bowl of spicy Laksa or savour the coconut flavoured rice of Nasi Lemak. Nasi Lemak is Malaysia's national dish that consists of the aforementioned coconut rice served with meat and various garnishes such as fried ikan bilis (anchovies) and cucumber slices.
Those who enjoy Thai cuisine can choose from Green Curry, Massaman Beef Curry, Pad Thai and other Thai dishes.
Or enjoy a bowl of Ramen, Yakisoba or a plate of Gyoza if you are into Japanese cuisine; and snack on Bao (bun), dumplings and other Yum Cha dishes. Gyoza are the Japanese variation of Jiaozi, Chinese dumplings filled with meat or vegetable that are often eaten with a soy-vinegar or chilli sauce.
