After a year of exciting programs and inductions the AMC and SA Music Hall of Fame is preparing for its end of year celebration plus the induction of Orianthi Panagaris by The Premier, Jay Weatherill. The program will also include American rock guitarist, producer, singer and songwriter Richie Sambora who was longtime lead guitarist of the rock band Bon Jovi, flying in especially for Orianthi's induction. This special event at St Paul's is by invitation only.

For the last 10 years, Orianthi has lived in LA jamming with an amazing variety of performers as varied as Richie Sambora, Michael Jackson, Michael Bolton, Alice Cooper, Prince, Sheila E and Steve Winwood.

Together, the Adelaide Music Collective (AMC) and SA Music Hall of Fame have organised some fabulous sessions with a number of musicians and singers being inducted, and many jamming together creating some memorable performances.

What makes the AMC unique is that it honours original music and places a lot of importance on the art of songwriting.

What originally began as an idea for the SA Music Hall of Fame by veteran Adelaide identity and former radio Rock Jock, David 'Daisy' Day was aligned with Enrico 'Mick' Morena's vision to create the Adelaide Music Collective (AMC), which organised the AMC Sessions.

On Friday, 28 March 2014, South Australia's Hall of Fame was launched at the Goodwood Institute in Adelaide. It was opened by David Day, who has donated 40 years of music memorabilia. During 2014, the AMC Sessions have showcased musical talent past and present, of various genres. These sessions are a historical preservation of outstanding and talented South Australian performers. Not only do they perform, but they also provide lots of interest and entertainment during their interviews with Daisy, who has that special ability of creating interesting interviews and heaps of fun and laughter as different artists reminisce of their glory days.

AMC Founder and International drummer Enrico 'Mick' Morena said he shared his idea of forming a collective of musicians with colleagues and with his enthusiasm the group developed into an official business identity to promote music in Adelaide.

Morena said, "Our idea was to bring bands together and for them to mix styles and genres of music when performing a gig. I found there were many younger musicians in Adelaide who tour widely and are fantastic at what they play. The AMC Sessions provide these young musicians in their 20's and 30's the opportunities to play and connect with the older and more experienced performers." "The value of these pioneers as mentors to younger players is immeasurable. It's a good way for the different generations to better get to know each other."

As Chris Finnen said at his presentation, "If you don't share your knowledge, then it won't be reinvented by others. Music is meant to be shared with people, that's the principle I live by."

As well as performing just some of the performers who have been inducted include: Bev Harrell OAM, Mick Wordley (MixMaster Studios - produced some of the biggest names in showbiz, Peter Coombe (Children's entertainer), Evan and Idris Jones (The Gingerbread Men and The Mixtures), John Schumann (Redgum), John Bywaters (Twilights), John & Rick Brewster (The Angels), Glen Shorrock (Twilights, Axiom, LRB), Chris Finnen (Blues great, Inductee Blues Hall of Fame - New York), Bruce Howe, John Freeman & Mauri Berg (Fraternity), John Swan (Swanee), Johnny Mac, Elaine Moore and Peter Tilbrook and Jim Keays posthumously (Masters Apprentices), Rob Riley (Rose Tattoo), Ray O'Connor (Penny Rockets), Barry McAskill (60's music icon) and Bob Francis.

There was a very special surprise occasion when David 'Daisy' Day was inducted into the Hall of Fame by Enrico Morena. This was a emotionally charged event as it was not only a surprise for Daisy, who has been struggling with health issues, but was a big surprise for the packed audience too.
