July 9th and 10th in celebration of Eid-ul-Adha (a season of giving and donating to those in need).
Being a not-for-profit community event that is completely self-funded and run by volunteers, the Adelaide Multicultural Eid Festival is a fantastic opportunity for locals from different cultures to come together and embrace the vibrancy of ethnicities and religious beliefs under one roof. Patrons can expect to enjoy a jam-packed weekend of family-friendly entertainment, including rides, clothing stalls, stage shows, sports activities, public speakers, international cuisines, and even a fireworks show on the Sunday night of the event.
"In hosting these festivals, we hope to continue to provide Muslims with an opportunity to feel a sense of identity and enable thousands of children to experience the enjoyment of these celebrations as part of their Australian culture. Our aim is to expose Muslim culture to the wider Australian community, food and family fun, and gather a diverse attendance that directly reflects the cultural mosaic of South Australia."
