Join the quiz and save Adelaide's koalas
Come along, on 2 August 2014, to this quiz night and support the team of dedicated professionals at the Adelaide Koala and Wildlife Hospital to raise funds so that they can continue their priority for saving the lives of injured wildlife.
The Adelaide Koala and Wildlife Hospital is open Monday to Friday, based at 282 Anzac Highway Plympton. They provide FREE emergency vet services to injured wildlife at this hospital. They take in injured or orphaned wildlife with the aim to rehabilitate and release the animal once treated.
Their services include: Rescue Rehabilitation and Release; Education and Awareness; Research and Development. Their education programmes support students, carers of wildlife, veterinary students and the public.
The Koala and Wildlife Hospital relies completely on the generosity of its sponsors and the general public both in financial and in kind form. The quiz night on 2 August 2014 is the next opportunity to raise money and for everyone to contribute to this great cause and an Adelaide passionate venture.
The quiz night will be hosted by Tracey Korsten, former "Temptation" or "Sale of the Century" Champion. The cost to participate is just $20, which includes finger food and free first drink (limited to 150). They have over $5,000 in prizes, including silent auctions, games, raffles and door prizes.
All of the proceeds from the night will go to the hospital to provide care for sick and injured koalas and wildlife. This is a great Adelaide service and one that is vital to being able to preserve and protect koalas and wildlife.
Everyone should take a look at their website which provides a wealth of information about their work with plenty of photographs to help explain the work they do and the variety of animals they treat and save.
We are so fortunate in Adelaide to have Australia's wildlife so close to us. This is an opportunity to contribute back to a vital service that is saving animals that exist in the urban and natural environments around our city.
