An annual event held over the Easter long weekend, the Adelaide International Kite Festival is making its return to Semaphore from 19 April 2025 to 21 April 2025. This festival is run by the Adelaide Kite Flyers Association, a club opened in 1997 for those who have an interest in flying kites.

At the festival, visitors can admire kites flown by local and international kite flyers and fly their own kites. Kites are available for purchase at the festival for those who do not own a kite. Last year, there was a separate area for those flying their own kites so they do not interfere with the professional kite flyers.

For entertainment, The Festival Marketplace has a variety of interactive activities and food stalls so you don 2019t have to worry about needing to bring refreshments. Among the activities is a visit from the Easter Bunny at 1 pm on Sunday and Monday. Entry to the event is free so feel free to visit if you are looking for something to do over Easter.
