Adelaide Hills Farmers Market

Adelaide Hills Pink Lady Apples are ripe, ready, local and the most delicious apple in the country. It's worth a drive up to Mount Barker for a single succulent bite of these alone. But there's more, in fact whatever is in season in the Adelaide Hills is at the Adelaide Hills Farmers Market and more.

Fresh Produce from the Adelaide Hills
Fresh Produce from the Adelaide Hills

Not only will you get fresh, in seasons produce but you can speak to the farmers and producers such as Claude Conterno from Merry Cherry Farm (who also makes Pizza) or Judith Zelhe who grows and sells salad greens and herbs from family farm in Echunga. There are also producers of organics foods, including organic breads and producers of handmade soaps and other gifts.

But look further yet and find the hidden niche products, for example ask Anama from Bald Hills Olives how to make the most delicious chocolate cake ever, made with her very own pure olive oil and if you're lucky, she'll have some to try and even buy.

This is a great place to educate the kids about fresh food or just spend a morning wandering and tasting.

Please note that the farmers market has changed locations recently. Go to the website.for more details.
