Pumpkin competitions, masterclasses with gardening legends, free kids activities and so much more at a huge celebration of all things heirloom!

The Adelaide Heirloom Weekend returns to Adelaide Botanic Garden on the weekend of 7 and 8 April 2018, from 10am to 3pm!

Proudly presented by the Diggers Club and Friends of the Botanic Gardens, the Heirloom Weekend is a fabulous two-day celebration of heirloom vegetables, gardening and the Diggers Club 40th anniversary!

Now in its 3rd year, this vibrant community event is set to be bigger and better as this year brings an extra special reason to celebrate - the Diggers Clubs 40th anniversary!

Come along with your friends and the whole family and join in the fun and frivolity!

Pre-book a masterclass - Spend the day with some of Australia's best-loved garden and food celebrities. Gardening Australia's favourites Sophie Thomson and Costa Georgiadis, along with Clive Blazey, Rebecca Sullivan and Laura Cassai talking and cooking up a storm at ticketed masterclasses.   • Be 'wowed' by the huge heirloom vegetable display

  • Learn tips and tricks in gardening workshops hosted by Diggers Club experts

  • Meet Granny Skills presenter Rebecca Sullivan at her book signing on Saturday 2.30pm

  • Sip, Sow and Grow by re-cycling your coffee cup and planting an heirloom seed to take home and grow

  • Pick-up painting tips from Friends Botanical Art Group drawing and painting heirloom vegetables on Saturday 12-3pm
