Adelaide Fringe (runs from 15 Feb to 17 Mar 2019) kicks off with a & #9734 ;bang& #9734 ; with a fabulous Opening Night Party of artist performances, a sunset ceremony, the Adelaide Night Markets and the switching on of the latest light projection project, Yabarra aka Gathering of Light.

Live performances run from 6-10pm on the Music SA (Frusic) and Fringe caravan stages and bar facilities will be available. NO BYO. The traditional sunset ceremony recognises the living culture of the First Nations, it pays respect to the spirit of the land and gives thanks to elders past and present.

If you're driving, to ensure parking, book ahead of time at UPARK , or you could simply Uber and rideshare to simply not have to deal with the traffic.

If you're dropping someone off, there's an accessible drop off/pick up point from 6pm to 12am located on Frome Road at the intersection of War Memorial Drive, closest to North Adelaide. If it's accessible parking you need, refer to the Adelaide City Council map .

The Yabarra - Gathering of Light runs throughout the Fringe Festival 8.30pm to midnight every night. It's a family friendly FREE event that'll take you on a journey. Using projected light and sound, you'll be guided through an interactive cultural landscape with a sharing of stories of Kaurna country along Tarndaparri (the original name for the River Torrens). Enjoy the artworks and use the Oodl app whenever you see the oodl logo at Yabarra to reveal more stories and wisdom from the Nunga mob who once lived by the river.

Come along to shop, dine and play at the multi-award winning Adelaide Night Market with over 100 food and market stalls at your fingertips.

The Adelaide Fringe Festival is 58 years young and have had years of experience at tweaking the magic to create an indescribable atmosphere that can be mythical, magical, fantabulous, fantasmagorical, supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, and so on. You get the idea, they're one in a million. Find out what's on at the festival on the website, and why not subscribe to their weekly e-newsletter to keep updated.
