Do you like films? Do you like seeing films in exclusive screenings like a real industry insider? Then rejoice! FilmFest is hosting three exclusive VIP premiere cocktail and red-carpet screening events throughout the Adelaide Film Festival this month, bringing a touch of Cannes-style festival glamour to our local film audiences.

Hosted by renowned film critic Eddie Cockrell (Variety, The Australian), guests will be treated to an intimate cocktail party and red-carpet entry to the premiere screenings, concluding with a discussion of the film - the ultimate film festival experience.

Ticket holders for the Sunday 18th October gala premiere of Spear will also have the opportunity to meet the film's Director Stephen Page, who is the acclaimed Artistic Director of Bangarra Dance Theatre.

The screenings will include:

The Dressmaker
Starring: Kate Winslet, Judy Davis, Liam Hemsworth
5:30pm Friday, 16th October
Tilly Dunnage (Kate Winslet), a beautiful and talented misfit, after many years working as a dressmaker in exclusive Parisian fashion houses, returns home to the tiny middle-of-nowhere town of Dungatar to right the wrongs of the past.

A Month of Sundays
Starring: Anthony LaPaglia, Julia Blake, Justine Clarke
5:30pm Saturday, 17th October
Filmmakers will be in attendance at this screening
Real estate agent Frank Mollard (Anthony LaPaglia) won't admit it, but he can't move on. Divorced but still attached, he can't sell a house in a property boom much less connect with his teenage son. One night Frank gets a phone call from his mother. Nothing out of the ordinary. Apart from the fact that she died a year ago.

Starring: Hunter Page-Lochard, Aaron Pedersen, Djakapurra Munyarryun
5pm Sunday, 18th October
Spear is a ground-breaking work from Stephen Page telling a contemporary Aboriginal story through movement and dance.

With a limited number of tickets now available, these events are an unmissable event for film lovers. Palace Nova Cinema will be the place to be for Adelaide film aficionados wishing to celebrate the best in Australian cinema, and tickets are available online now!
