As a part of the Adelaide Fashion Festival, a number of free runway shows will be taking place for all members of the public to watch! You don't have to be a fashion expert to attend these events - they will be interesting and exciting for anybody.
Victoria Square, Adelaide (22nd October) The fashion students at TAFE SA will be showcasing their hard work at Victoria Square on Saturday 22nd October from 11:30am. The runway show, named 'Fashion's Future' will exhibit the most promising collections. In the past, TAFE SA have mentored and introduced determined students who have gone on to make a name for themselves in the tricky fashion industry. Finalists for the Premier's Design Award will be also be showing their designs on the day. Although it does cost to be 1st or 2nd row in this event, you can purchase a ticket in the 3rd row for free here.
Moseley Square, Glenelg (22nd October) Lex the Label is set to present her latest collection on the 22nd October from 6pm in Moseley Square. Lex is known for her street and skate fashion that is modern, chic and stylish. The urban runway show will be a spectacle that combines elements of art, fashion, and performing arts. There will also be skate demonstrations as a part of the catwalk. This event is a great opportunity to support an emerging designer as the sun sets over Glenelg Beach.
The Parade, Norwood (23rd October) From 11am-4pm on Sunday 23rd October, Norwood Place will be presenting a number of runway parades. Down the centre of Norwood Parade, there will be an outdoor catwalk with models showcasing new Spring/Summer fashions. All of the clothes worn will be from shops and outlets on the Parade. Along with the catwalk, there will be a fashion & design market, food, live music, and entertainment. The event is open to all of the public and is completely free!
