The Durian Festival Tour is coming to Adelaide again this year. It will be held on Sunday 15 May 2022 from 11.00am to 4.00pm at the Bonython Park Kiosk, Port Road.
If you do not know what durians are, this is your opportunity to taste this Malaysian king of the fruits. Durians are prickly thorny fruits with many species such as the Musang King. The inside flesh tastes like creamy custard. However, the smell of the fruit is very strong. I have heard people say that the smell equates to a toilet odour but the taste is like delicious ice cream.
On this day, there will be a mega sale of durians at affordable prices and free fruit tasting. However, pre-order is advisable by this
link. Besides durians, there will many Malaysian food traders selling their authentic produce.
