While it is a commonly-known fact that visiting the dentist can be an ordeal and a half (at least for a greater majority), the reality is that it is imperative to visit the dentist at least once every six months to keep those pearly whites in check.

A few months ago, I had written up on my teeth-whitening experience at Adelaide Dental Spa and recently, I was fortunate enough to be invited to their first birthday celebrations, where I learned even more about this beautiful family-owned business.

Launched by Adelaide-based couple Paige and Chris Phung, Adelaide Dental Spa hopes to provide its customers with a new and improved way of making visits to the dentist hassle-free, less anxiety-provoking, and incredibly relaxing. Setting up their clinic to replicate a modern and luxurious state-of-the-art facility in Port Adelaide, the boutique clinic offers all areas of dentistry; including general, cosmetic and preventative; in addition to providing MediSpa services for both facial aesthetics and rejuvenation.

When you walk into Adelaide Dental Spa, you are immediately welcomed with a tranquil soundtrack that complements the warm and inviting sense of friendliness that shines through the customer service across the board. While the clinic may present with the typical sterile look of a hospital, there are subtle and delicate touches through the pops of green from the plants, the sleek black tapware, and the oh-so-popular TV on the ceiling that is fully equipped with Netflix to assist you (and your nerves) through the process. Designed to accommodate families, the clinic also offers a children's oasis which is monitored by a discreet camera that feeds directly onto the televisions so parents can watch them play with the latest toys and books, while in the chair.

The MediSpa uses state-of-the-art technology and modern techniques to provide a range of services, including facials, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, hydra-dermabrasions, micro-needling, dermaplaning, cosmetic injectables, skin analysis and a professional skincare range. As someone who was treated to a facial a few months ago, let me confirm by saying that it left my skin feeling like refreshed and brand new. You often do not think about the amount of impurities that settle into your skin during your day-to-day tasks and yet, something as relaxing as a facial can completely change the way your skin looks and feels a lot younger, smoother, and healthier. To say that a visit to the Spa is a luxurious experience would be an understatement!
